Total Time 15 minutes
Servings 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream (or 1 1/4 cups Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (use honey or maple syrup if using yogurt)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a mix)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest (optional, brightens the flavor)
  • 1 cup chocolate sandwich cookies or shortbread, crushed (about 10–12 cookies)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream (for melting chocolate)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts, coconut flakes, caramel sauce, or mint leaves

Instructions

  • Prep the cream or yogurt: If using cream, whip with powdered sugar and vanilla to soft peaks. If using yogurt, stir in vanilla and sweetener until smooth.
  • Crush the cookies: Place cookies in a zip bag and crush with a rolling pin until you have a mix of crumbs and small chunks.
  • Dress the berries: Slice larger berries. Toss with lemon zest and a tiny pinch of sugar if they’re tart.
  • Melt the chocolate: Microwave chocolate and milk in 15–20 second bursts, stirring until smooth. Add a pinch of sea salt.
  • Layer: Start with a spoonful of cookie crumbs, then cream/yogurt, then berries. Repeat layers until your glass is nearly full.
  • Finish: Drizzle with warm chocolate. Add extra crumbs or nuts on top for crunch.
  • Chill (optional): Refrigerate for 10–20 minutes to set the layers, or serve right away for maximum crunch.
